The Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation has acquired a bus depot in Park Royal, NW10, for residential conversion.
The four-acre Atlas Road Bus Depot site has been acquired via a corporate deal with private company Park Score.
Papers at Companies House show that the OPDC is now the main shareholder in the company. Files also reveal that the site was last valued at around £22m.
The acquisition takes OPDC’s ownership to a total of 11 acres, which, combined with government-owned brownfield landholdings, totals 75 acres of development land surrounding Old Oak Common Station.
The Atlas Road Bus Depot, combined with neighbouring sites, will unlock 3,100 homes, as well as shops, leisure uses and workspace.
The acquisition follows the appointment of former Deloitte executive Marianne Brook as the OPDC’s development director and a renewed effort by the development corporation as it gears up its regeneration plans.
The OPDC said its key priority was to catalyse its long-term target of delivering 25,000 new homes in the area.
