Newmark poaches Charles Toogood from Avison Young
Newmark has appointed Charles Toogood to head up its national offices team, where he will use his more than 25 years of experience to lead the team alongside the company’s other recent hires from Avison Young.
Toogood joins from Avison Young, where he was principal and managing director in the UK Office and Lease Advisory Team.
Over the past 25 years, he has advised clients such as Carlyle Group, Federated Homes and AXA Real Estate Investment Management, among others.

The news comes after Newmark, then under the name of Gerald Eve, announced four senior hires for its Birmingham office, which included Adrian Griffith and George Jennings joining from Avison Young’s national office agency teams.
The other two recruits were Matt Jenns and Richard Fletcher-Brewer, who joined the firm’s Midlands Capital Markets team from Savills.
