BlackRock, BA and GIC team up for life sciences-led scheme

BlackRock Alternatives has teamed with British Airways’ New Airways Pension Scheme and Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC to develop the Tribeca life sciences scheme in King’s Cross, N1.

The 830,000 sq ft purpose-built life sciences development will be home to laboratories alongside retail, restaurants and 69 flats. It is being delivered in conjunction with Reef Group. The first phase of the scheme is expected to complete in November.

Late last year, the jv announced the London BioScience Innovation Centre had signed a 25-year lease at the Apex, one of five mixed-use buildings in the development. It has taken part of the basement, ground, first and second floors of the seven-storey building.
