New lords sought for Yorkshire manor

A manor house dating back to the 15th century and said to have housed Oliver Cromwell after his battle on Marston Moor, will go under the hammer on 26 October at Le Méridien Piccadilly, W1.

Countrywide Property Auctions is offering Hodroyd Hall, near Barnsley, South Yorkshire, which has six bedrooms and sits on three acres.

The freehold Grade II listed property is guided at £650,000 to £700,000.
