“I feel blessed to have been awarded Dealmaker for the fourth year in a row, and grateful to the loyal clients that made it possible. It goes without saying we are all living in challenging times and in order to function we need to adapt our approach.
“Specifically in Cornwall where we are reliant on the tourism and leisure industries, there is a lot of uncertainty in the market which makes things particularly challenging. As always each sector reacts differently. Due to the general migration of population to the West, the housing market appears to be booming, so no doubt in the next few years the commercial market will strengthen as confidence restores.
“We are experiencing a surprisingly strong industrial market, which is positive. The office sector appears stagnant as occupiers are waiting for the dust to settle, so it is intriguing how this will function as government support tapers off. High street retail was has been on the decline for a while, Covid-19 has accelerated this, although activity remains in service-led retail.
“There are many positives as well as the obvious negatives. We have all had the time and space to reflect on how we live our lives, so I feel we are living in exciting times.”
