Retailer Mothercare has suspended all of its business in Russia, joining a growing list of companies halting dealings in the country in the face of the war in Ukraine.
In a stock exchange update, the company said it had halted the shipment of products and that its local partner was “immediately pausing operations” in 120 stores and online.
The company, which sells goods for expectant mothers and small children, said Russia accounts for between 20% and 25% of its worldwide retail sales and was previously expected to contribute £6m per year to group profit.
