BentallGreenOak and its development partner Equation Properties have collaborated with McLaren Construction to deliver the first phase of a logistics scheme in Bolsover, Derbyshire.
The joint venture partners acquired the site in January for £39.9m from Bolsover Land, which is backed by ALMCOR and St Francis Group. The 80-acre site is located adjacent to Junction 29A of the M1 and Markham Vale.
BentallGreenOak and Equation have proposed to deliver up to 1.2m sq ft of industrial space on site. Phase 1A will kick off with the development of two single-story logistics and distribution warehouses. The first will comprise 70,000 sq ft of warehouse space, 3,500 sq ft of offices, and six supplementary loading docks. The second facility will include a 127,000 sq ft warehouse with 6,400 sq ft of workspace, and 12 additional loading docks.
The scheme is set to deliver a BREEAM rating of Excellent, with an energy performance rating of A.
The completion of phase 1A is expected in the third quarter of 2023.
