Manchester’s The James hits the market

The James is looking to sell its fully let Manchester build-to-rent development for offers over £11.75m. The asset, comprising 40 homes and two prime commercial units, is being marketed by Harris Associates at an 8% blended gross yield. The James Manchester, which opened in 2023, comprises a mix of 14 one-bedroom and 26 two-bedroom apartments. Alex Matthews, head of BTR at Harris Associates, said: “The James is the kind of scheme that defines the next generation of Build-to-Rent in the UK – combining best-in-class design with authentic character and operational excellence.
