In his new role, Croft will focus on the group’s growth and the establishment of a new platform in Asia, while Ebbrell will oversee M7’s existing European platform.
This reshuffle will also see M7’s current head of investor relations, Teresa Gilchrist, take on Andrew Jenkins’ role as chief operating officer, as he moves into a more strategic role working closely with Croft on the group’s strategy.
Gilchrist will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the business.
In addition, divisional directors John Pow and Hugh Yates are to take on some of the chief investment officer responsibilities, and Nick Bradley is to take over part of the head of investor relations duties.
Meanwhile, US private equity investor Centerbridge Partners has agreed to refinance £71m of debt for the company, which was reportedly held by Kwok Family interests.
Founded a decade ago by Croft, Ebbrell and Gilchrist, M7 now has around €8.5bn of assets under management, spread across 13 countries in Europe and totalling 119m sq ft.
