M7 Real Estate has appointed Tony Edgley as non-executive chairman.
He succeeds Hugh Ellingham who has taken up an executive role as chief executive of the newly formed M7 Developments.
Edgley joins after almost eight years as a partner at Brockton Capital, where he was responsible for originating and leading circa £2.25bn of multi-sector transactions.
Prior to Brockton Capital, he spent more than 10 years as managing director of JLL Corporate Finance, advising global clients on equity raising, fund construction, M&A, joint venture partnerships and debt advisory.
Richard Croft, chief executive of M7, said: “Following on from Hugh Ellingham’s move to a full executive role within the group, we are delighted to welcome Tony to the board as non-executive chairman. Since Hugh joined the firm in 2014, the group has grown substantially across all metrics and his role in that cannot be overstated. Tony has been a friend and confidant of the firm since its formation and is a natural choice to provide leadership and advice as the firm continues to evolve. I am looking forward to working with them both in their new roles.”
Edgley added: “2019 marks M7’s 10th anniversary, a major milestone for the business and an exciting time to be joining the team. M7’s continued success is testament to its long-standing track record across Europe and its specialism in targeting value-add, multi-let real estate investments on behalf of a growing and global client base. I look forward to working with the board in the next stage of M7’s growth.”
