The London based retailer of surveillance, counter-surveillance and personal protection equipment was founded in 1991.
It has a shop in Portman Square, W1, as well as concessions in two department stores.
The extensive product range includes drones, covert cameras, bugging devices, body armour, vehicle tracking devices, military watches, hovercrafts and mini-submarines. Spymaster also undertakes bespoke surveillance work.
The company has successfully traded for over 25 years, however, plans to develop the e-commerce side of the business has coincided with a decline in turnover resulting in cash flow problems. David Rubin and Partners intend to continue to trade the business until a sale is concluded.
Roland Cramp, director of machinery and business assets at Lambert Smith Hampton, said: “This sale provides a unique opportunity to acquire London’s foremost retailer of spy equipment, which has developed an excellent reputation and worldwide customer base. We are anticipating a strong level of interest from both the UK and international based purchasers.”
