L’Oreal is in talks with Stanhope, Mitsui Fudosan and AIMCo to prelet around 110,000 sq ft at White City Place.
The France-based cosmetics firm has a similar footprint at its current premises at 255 Hammersmith Road on a lease due to expire in 2022.
L’Oreal has retained Cushman & Wakefield to advise on the move.
Two years ago the agent advised on the renewal of the firm’s lease, which had been due to expire later this year.
Other tenants at White City Place, formerly known as BBC Media Village, include global pharmaceuticals group Novartis, the Yoox Net-a-Porter technology centre and Huckletree West, the workspace accelerator for tech businesses and biotech start-ups.
Stanhope, Mitsui Fudosan and AIMCo started the redevelopment of the BBC’s former home in 2015, creating 432 flats and new office space at the site.
In 2017, the three owners were given the go-ahead by Hammersmith and Fulham Council for three new buildings on the 17-acre Gateway site at White City Place, W12.
The plans involve 1.1m sq ft of office accommodation and will provide 8,000 new jobs across three buildings, the tallest of which will rise to 23 storeys.
The Gateway development will complete White City Place, which will total more than 2m sq ft.
The scheme is at the heart of an ambitious £8bn regeneration of the wider White City area, which has been designated a development opportunity area by Hammersmith and Fulham Council.
Knight Frank advises Stanhope, Mitsui Fudosan and AIMCo.
L’Oreal, Cushman & Wakefield and Knight Frank declined to comment. The owners of White City Place were approached for comment.
