London is Europe’s top city for hotel investment

London has regained the top spot as the most attractive European city for hotel investment. Hospitality leaders and investors voted the city first in the 2023 European Hotel Industry Survey by Deloitte, with Lisbon second and last year’s leader, Amsterdam, now back in third. Nearly three-quarters of those surveyed said they were optimistic about the long-term future of the UK hotel market, up from two-thirds of respondents last year. Outside London, they voted Edinburgh as the most attractive city for UK regional hotel investment for the third consecutive year, followed by Oxford and Manchester. The Times (£)
