The LLDC and joint venture partners Balfour Beatty and Places for People have lodged new designs for 621 homes in the next two phases of development at the Olympic Stadium.
The partners are proposing 210 homes at phase two (pictured) and 411 in phase three, following on from 310 in phase one.
Phase two will provide two blocks of flats with a maximum height of seven storeys. The plans include 21% affordable housing as affordable rent or social rented homes. Phase three will see five blocks of the same height across two parcels of land, with 29% affordable housing.
With further sites allocated for development, the wider site is planned to deliver 1,800 homes across all phases. This is an increase from the 1,500 homes originally planned.
Last October, the LLDC restarted a hunt to find a joint venture partner for a £600m scheme of 1,250 homes at Stratford Waterfront and Bridgewater. The development corporation still hopes to select a partner for the 50:50 jv this year.
The LLDC is currently consulting over plans for 1,500 homes, two community centres and a new bridge at Pudding Mill Lane. Some 45% of the homes will be affordable.
This includes 600 homes at Bridgewater Triangle as part of the £600m jv, with a further 900 homes to come to the market in a £750m opportunity later this year. The development corporation aims to lodge plans in autumn of this year.
