Almost a third of British manufacturers have not seen any impact from the government’s levelling up agenda, a survey suggests.
Thirty-six per cent of manufacturers in the North East and 27% in the North West said they were not satisfied with its progress, according to Make UK, the manufacturers’ group.
The survey of 200 companies was conducted last month. More than half were unaware of the levelling up initiatives available to them – 57% had not heard of the Community Renewal Fund, which has £220m to invest in replacing regional investment lost after Brexit.
