Robert and Vincent Tchenguiz are no longer speaking to each other after a legal row over the administration of a family trust set up by their father.
In an extraordinary spat for the once-close brothers, Robert Tchenguiz, 57, has claimed in a court document that the trustee for the Tchenguiz Family Trust — whose main beneficiary is his brother Vincent, 61 — made false representations “of a serious nature” about him to Grant Thornton, the liquidator to Kaupthing, the failed Icelandic bank.
The Times reveals that Robert Tchenguiz, who is suing two partners at Grant Thornton, is seeking disclosure of a document, prepared by Rawlinson and Hunter, the trustee, and Vincent Tchenguiz, that allegedly contain these “false representations”.
