LABS Collective offers free space to emergency services
The LABS Collective, which is ultimately backed by Teddy Sagi, is offering event space, offices and bedrooms to emergency services for free for at least a month to support the medical response to coronavirus.
The firm will offer bedrooms through its residential brand Stay, at its location in Hawley Wharf, Camden (pictured). Each apartment has a fully fitted kitchen and laundry facilities. A care package with “basic provisions” is also being provided.
This offering will last for an initial one-month period, with a view to extend both the timeframe and number of beds if required.

LABS will also allow emergency services and critical call centres to use its 13,000 sq ft event space at Camden House, and a number of private offices across its buildings.
There is also scope for the space at Camden House to become a “common room”, with complimentary tea and coffee provided day and night.

“With the current uncertainty surrounding everyday lives, the need for a community hub of facilities and support has become more important than ever.
“We know the emergency services across the UK are working tirelessly to cope with the increased demands during the ongoing coronavirus outbreak and to be able to support by making space and accommodation available is a privilege.”
Internally, LABS is encouraging its staff to spend some of their working day helping vulnerable people through initiatives such as Age UK’s ‘telephone friend’ matching service, to combat loneliness for the elderly.
The LABS Collective is backed by a property portfolio owned by Teddy Sagi’s investment firm LabTech.
