The prime minister has compared Labour’s “dangerous” green investment plans with the “unfunded spending decisions” of his predecessor, Liz Truss.
In a speech yesterday, Rishi Sunak gave an assessment of the terrain on which the government wishes to fight the next election.
Sunak claimed he had stabilised the economy, but Labour’s vow to spend £28bn a year tackling climate change would be “just as dangerous as blowing tens of billions of pounds on unfunded tax cuts”.
