Keepmoat has acquired the former Western School site in Grimsby for a residential development.
The 22.9-acre site sold by North East Lincolnshire Council will provide 318 homes, including 50 homes for people aged over 55.
The consented scheme has a GDV of £65m, and key infrastructure works have been delivered by the council through funding secured from the Accelerated Constructions Fund by Homes England.
Keepmoat has commenced groundworks.
