Irish manufacturer signs for West Yorkshire warehouse

Landlord Younger Homes has let a 10,713 sq ft warehouse on the Birds Royd Industrial Estate in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, to Irish manufacturing firm Hanley Controls.

Hanley’s pipes, valves, fittings, controls and instrumentation manufacturing arm signed a 10-year lease for Unit 2 with a break option at year five at £7.50 per sq ft.

The move forms a part of the firm’s growth strategy as it looks to expand into a range of UK markets including data centres, chemical, pharma, food & beverage, power, water and waste water, manufacturing, R&D, laboratories and utilities.

The estate is set back off Birds Royd Lane with access from the A641 Huddersfield Road.

Ben Pinder, managing director at Hanley Solutions, said: “This warehouse is ideally situated to support our continued growth plans. Hanley Solutions will differentiate by offering off-site manufacturing to its client base, helping them to navigate the evolving construction industry.”

Danielle Raunjak, associate director at CBRE, which advised the outgoing tenant, said: “This deal provides the occupier with transport connection to the M62 corridor, as well as access to the talent pool thanks to the densely populated local area coupled with the easy train commute. This location is ideal to support the company’s strategy to expand within the UK market.”
