Investors believe inflation will fall over the next year, but they remain pessimistic about the prospects for the global economy.
A survey of fund managers, conducted by Bank of America, found that a net 90% of investors expected global inflation to have fallen within the next 12 months, a record high for the survey.
Yet fund managers are still generally downbeat, with a net 68% expecting a recession next year, although this had fallen from 77% a month earlier.
