Imperial London has appointed Colliers International, inviting offers for the entire collection or individual or groups of sites.
The buildings range from 12 to 51 bedrooms with planning consents for repurposing as hotels or hostels.
Colin Hall, head of London hotels agency at Colliers International, said: “It has taken our clients 40 years to assemble this portfolio, which now provides the very rare opportunity of eight freehold buildings becoming available at one time in the highly desirable neighbourhood of Bloomsbury.
“These properties are in effect superb blank canvases for future development across a range of uses, including boutique hotel accommodation, hostels/poshtels, offices and residential development.”
The neighbourhood of Bloomsbury, WC1 (pictured), is beginning to attract more attention from commercial investors and occupiers. Last year, investment volumes spiked reaching a near-decade high of £852m, according to Knight Frank.
This was boosted by a number of major deals including the £245m acquisition of the Holborn Links estate by Curzon Capital Partners and Cording Real Estate from Teddy Sagi’s LabTech and Pontegadea’s £600m Post Building buy. This year, Singapore’s Sun Ventures also acquired 1 New Oxford Street , WC1A, for £174m.
