ICG beefs up European investment team with Baupost hires

Intermediate Capital Group has bulked up its European private equity real estate investment team with the hires of Baupost managing director Adam Golebiowski and principal Luca Lelli. Both have joined from Baupost’s London arm, where Golebiowski co-headed the European real estate business and Lelli was responsible for sourcing and transactions. Golebiowski joins ICG as managing director and Lelli as principal. Prior to Baupost, Golebiowski led the European real estate business for the Alberta Investment Management Corporation, also known as AIMCo. Golebiowski has also held senior investment roles at the Lewis Trust Group and Citi Property Investors. He started his career in mergers and acquisitions at JP Morgan. Lelli’s career before Baupost included roles at real estate private equity firm Victory Advisors and at JP Morgan. Kevin Cooper, co-head of ICG Real Estate, said: “Building out the opportunistic and value-add equity strategy on a pan-European level is a natural evolution of our business.
