HSBC has announced it is closing a further 62 branches this year, in addition to 55 branches previously earmarked for closure.
The bank said the decision was prompted by more customers increasingly conducting their banking online.

HSBC has announced it is closing a further 62 branches this year, in addition to 55 branches previously earmarked for closure.
The bank said the decision was prompted by more customers increasingly conducting their banking online.
By the end of this year, the bank will have 625 branches remaining, having more than halved its estate since June 2011 when it had 1,301 branches.
The bank also said that more than 90% of customer contacts were through digital channels, up from 80% last year.
Branches earmarked for closure include two in central London, and branches on Brompton Road, SW5, and Shaftesbury Avenue, WC2.
