House prices fall for second month in a row

House prices have fallen for a second month in a row as rising mortgage costs begin to bite.

Rightmove said the price of property coming to market this month fell by £905, or 0.2%, to an average of £371,907. That follows an £82 decline in June, which was the first monthly drop in asking prices this year.
