Helical appoints chief investment officer in round of promotions
Helical has announced a series of promotions across its development, asset management and finance teams — including the appointment of Rob Sims to the newly created role of chief investment officer.
Since joining the business in 2018, Sims has helped deliver several of Helical’s key development projects, including The JJ Mack Building at 33 Charterhouse Street, EC1, and 100 New Bridge Street, EC4, the latter recently forward sold in a £333m deal.
As CIO, he will lead the execution of new transactions, oversee corporate structuring and provide financial and investment analysis across the portfolio.

Alongside Sims, five additional team members have been promoted:
Matt Redgrove becomes senior development executive. Since joining in November 2023, he has been responsible for ongoing development of 100 New Bridge Street, the refurbishment of Brettenham House, WC2, and Helical’s joint venture with Places for London in Paddington, W2.
Fran Young has been promoted to senior asset manager. Since joining in 2012, she has played a key role in managing the group’s investment assets.
Lesley Dodd steps up to group financial controller, continuing her 13-year tenure overseeing financial operations, consolidated reporting, and joint venture accounting.
Martin Bramhill, who joined in 2013, is now head of tax. He manages the company’s tax affairs and supports financial reporting across the Group.
Lucy Miller becomes property and finance executive. Since 2017, she has managed treasury functions and more recently taken on asset management responsibilities, including occupier engagement at The Bower.
