Harworth receives consent for Derbyshire logistics scheme

Harworth Group has received outline planning consent from Amber Valley Borough Council for its Cinderhill logistics scheme in Derbyshire.

The scheme, which has a GDV of £210m-£230m, will see the construction of 1.5m sq ft of industrial and logistics space alongside up to 300 new homes and will include land remediation, site servicing and the installation of infrastructure to facilitate the construction of grade-A commercial buildings.

Harworth has owned or controlled the site through a combination of freehold ownership and under a planning promotion and marketing agreement since 2018.

Lynda Shillaw, chief executive at Harworth, said: “This complex site has involved careful masterplanning over the years alongside collaboration with a number of different stakeholders. This achievement highlights our specialist skillset and track record of securing planning and regenerating former industrial land.

“[Derbyshire] has a strong manufacturing and logistics presence, and Harworth continues to see strong demand for our serviced land products.”
