Hammersmith co-living scheme recommended for go-ahead

A joint venture between Bridges Fund Management, developer HUB and housing association Women’s Pioneer Housing has been recommended to have plans for a 269-home mixed-use scheme approved.

The jv applied to London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham to redevelop 227 Wood Lane and provide 209 co-living apartments, 60 affordable residential apartments for WPH residents and 5,300 sq ft of office space, as well as co-living amenities, a café/restaurant and car and cycle parking.

The 0.5-acre site, owned by Women’s Pioneer Housing, currently comprises Browning House, a four-storey building containing 36 homes for tenants of Women’s Pioneer Housing, and the association’s head office. If signed off, the site will be redeveloped into a part-18, part-seven storey block.
