Habitat and Next have taken the last remaining units at the 55,800 sq m (600,645 sq ft) Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow two years ahead of the scheme’s completion.
The deal will see both retailers establishing their largest stores in Scotland. Habitat, who will move out of its Bothwell Street site, has taken 3,500 sq m (38,185 sq ft) while Next – determined not to close its four other stores in Glasgow – has taken 2,500 sq m (27,450 sq ft).
Joint agents Strutt & Parker, Healey & Baker and Montagu Evans advised the landlord Buchanan Partnership. Churston Heard acted for Habitat while Next was unrepresented.
