Penny Hughes is standing down as chair of the Gym Group.
Since taking the post in 2015, Hughes has helped the group treble in size to 215 sites. She has stood down with immediate effect and John Treharne, founder director of the company, has become the new chair.
Gym Group has a target to grow to more than 300 sites by 2025, with earnings between £95m and £105m.
