GVA appointed to £300m Birmingham Life Sciences Park

GVA has been appointed by the University of Birmingham to find a development and funding partner for the £300m Birmingham Life Sciences Park. The park is located on a remediated 9.9-acre site in Selly Oak, south-west Birmingham. It is close to the University of Birmingham, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham Women’s Hospital and the Institute of Translational Medicine. The site has outline planning consent with potential for 580,000 sq ft of space that will be designed for medical and life sciences occupiers. The University of Birmingham is planning a phased delivery, with work to beginning in January 2020.
