Asset manager Gresham House has reached its £300m fund raising target for its British Strategic Investment Fund, which focuses on mid-market sustainable housing and infrastructure investments.
Gresham House chief executive Tony Dalwood said the company sees “a desire from investors to deliver both positive financial returns alongside the sustainability agenda which BSIF is targeting”.
The fund has so far made investments in renewable energy, battery storage, waste disposal, vertical farming and key worker accommodation. Investors to have backed the fund since an interim close last September include local government pension schemes for Worcestershire, Greater Gwent and the West Midlands.
The fund is now backed by six local government pension funds as well as the Greater London Authority’s London Strategic Reserve Fund.
