Vale of White Horse District Council has approved the development plans for Zeta, the latest building to be constructed at Harwell Science and Innovation Campus near Didcot in Oxfordshire.
Zeta is set to benefit from more than £1bn of science infrastructure created at the campus, including the UK’s national synchrotron facility, the Diamond Light Source, and the ISIS Neutron facility.
The new development, designed by Allies and Morrison, will offer 38,609 sq ft of lab, R&D and office space. It will be the first timber-frame building on campus with a biodiverse green roof. The project is expected to be delivered by the second quarter of 2023.
