Green light for Patrizia HQ at Covent Garden club
Patrizia has secured planning consent to convert a Covent Garden private members’ club into its UK headquarters.
The hClub, previously known as the Hospital Club, opened in 2004 as a haven for creatives and included a television studio, recording studio and bars before it closed in 2020 in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
Patrizia’s plans will reimagine the 24 Endell Street, WC2, building as a 35,000 sq ft state-of-the-art office. It will initially host up to 200 of Patrizia’s London-based employees, including its new infrastructure business. The company plans to move in in 2024.

Patrizia says the plans underline its ambitions to shape the office of the future, and include a wellness suite, fifth-floor pavilion and multi-function space, roof terrace and café. The space will also harness Patrizia’s smart building technology to enhance creativity and collaboration among its employees, clients and partners.

The building was acquired by the private investment office WE Holding, which is advised by AM Alpha, a leading global real estate family office.

Before being turned into a private members’ club by Microsoft’s Paul Allen and Eurythmics band member Dave Stewart, the building was a lying-in hospital.
In 2007, Radiohead recorded part of their In Rainbows album in the studio space.
