Green light for Leeds’ Aire Park

Leeds City Council has given the nod for Vastint UK’s plan to create a 2ha park within the city’s South Bank district. An area of the park, named Tetley Triangle due to its proximity to the Tetley building, will include a children’s play area, a 1km running route and a cherry tree-lined avenue. The council will manage and maintain the park under a 250-year lease. Vastint has also been granted permission to restore the derelict Crown pub in Aire Park. An extension will see commercial and office space added to the upper floors. A planning application has also been lodged for a circa 301,300 sq ft office building bordering the Tetley Triangle.
