GPU leads Glasgow office letting bonanza

The Glasgow office market has had a spring in its step this year having landed giant requirements, with Barclays, Clydesdale Bank and Regus all undertaking major leasing deals in the first half of the year.

All these were topped, though, by the Government Property Unit, which completed its 187,205 sq ft prelet for HM Revenue & Customs at BAM Properties, TCP Developments and Legal & General Investment Management’s Atlantic Square.

This activity combined saw a dramatic year-on-year increase in take-up in the first half of the year of 151.6% in the city.
