Google submits modified plans for £1bn King’s Cross HQ

Google has submitted modified plans for its new £1bn headquarters at King’s Cross, N1.

Plans for the building, which will accommodate 4,500 staff, include a gym, swimming pool, covered multi-use games area, events centre and “trim track” on the roof.

The reserved matters application submitted by the King’s Cross Central General Partner and Google UK to Camden Council aims to modify the existing planning permission granted in 2006. The modified plans raise the building to 11 storeys and boost its total floorspace to 870,000 sq ft.
