Gloucester former Network Rail depot site cleared for £70m resi scheme

Eutopia Homes has received planning approval for a £70m residential-led regeneration of a former Network Rail depot site in Gloucester, to provide 315 homes. The Great Western Yard scheme will provide 228 apartments and 87 townhouses. It has been designed by Darling Associates Architects. The development will provide more than 500 cycle spaces and around 25% biodiversity net gain, realised through biodiverse roofs and existing and newly planted trees. Eutopia Homes director Lorna Henderson said: “Great Western Yard will help address the stark supply-demand housing imbalance in Gloucester.
