Gender pay gap in property companies

The Times has carried out an analysis of the gender pay gap by sector, finding that in property companies the average pay gap is 17.2%; the median pay gap is 13%; and the average bonus gap is 25%.

Women working for estate agents and property consultancies can earn up to 58% less than their male colleagues on average, and none of the big chains has a smaller pay gap than 16%. At upmarket estate agency Savills women earn 55p for every £1 earned by male colleagues.

At Jones Lang Lasalle, women’s bonuses are 84.4% lower than men’s.
