Gazeley set to almost double Magna Park Lutterworth’s size
Gazeley has outlined plans to expand Magna Park Lutterworth, the largest dedicated logistics and distribution park in Europe, to 16m sq ft in the next few years.
The location, which measures 9m sq ft, aims to add two extensions. Subject to planning permission, developer is preparing to build a new 746,500 sq ft facility on the southern side.
On the northern side of the park, a new extension is being developed across 225 acres. This will offer build-to-suit options for sheds ranging between 100,000 sq ft and 1m sq ft.

On the northern side of the park, a new extension is being developed across 225 acres. This will offer build-to-suit options for sheds ranging between 100,000 sq ft and 1m sq ft.
These extensions will include a fully landscaped country park. The developments will also feature online energy dashboards to monitor energy usage, rainwater harvesting and technology to optimise the use of natural light.
Development has already begun on three speculative logistics and distribution units totalling 525,400 sq ft, while facilities each measuring 300,300 sq ft, 126,300 sq ft and 98,800 sq ft will be available for occupancy in the autumn.
Bruce Topley, senior development director at Gazeley, said: “In light of the continued high demand for logistics space, particularly in this area, we are confident that these buildings will be a welcome addition to the market.”
