Galliard completes purchase of Crossrail development site

Galliard Homes has completed its purchase of a development site over the Tottenham Court Road Crossrail station, W1, meaning work can begin on the 92-flat scheme. The £140m GDV project, TCRW Soho, comprises 74,675 sq ft of accommodation and almost 10,000 sq ft of ground-floor retail space above the western entrance to the long-delayed train line, expected to open in the first half 2022. Split across two buildings, the scheme is expected to be complete in the summer of 2023. More than half of the accommodation has been forward-sold off plan at more than £75m. Don O’Sullivan, chief executive of Galliard Homes, said: “TCRW Soho is an example of a best practice residential-led regeneration project located above this 21st century, new entrance to a key central London transport interchange, giving the homeowners doorstep access to the West End and Soho.” Savills acted for Transport for London on the transaction, which was agreed in 2019.
