Fusion cleared for Cardiff PBSA plans

Fusion Group’s plans for a 706-bed student accommodation scheme in Cardiff have been approved. The Longcross Court development on Newport Road will replace a vacant commercial building and include a wellbeing studio, juice bar and fitness suite, as well as outdoor spaces. Fusion entered a forward purchase agreement with Picton Property Income last year to acquire the site on receipt of planning permission. That deal should compete before the end of the year, with construction expected to start in Q1 2025 and complete in time for the 2028/29 academic year.
