King & Co is a family business, founded by Herbert James King in 1918. It is led by managing director Oliver King and director Jonathan Collins.
King said: “For about three or four years, we’ve been looking at a combination of brownfield and strategic land opportunities, all requiring planning gain.
“Some of these are already allocated in local plans, and we’re looking forward to building these out and delivering these communities, as well as working in joint ventures going forward.”
King said the company will look to partner with a variety of small enterprises and large plc housebuilders, tapping into the burgeoning starter market and wide demand for housing across various demographics.
He added: “Paul will play a vital role in the delivery of Platform One, as well as investing in future opportunities, and guiding King & Co towards its wider strategic objectives.”
Paul White said: “Oliver King and Jonathan Collins’ team have built an impressive and varied portfolio by forging strong regional and national partnerships, and thinking strategically.”
The two companies will seek to develop a long-term strategy, with the potential for further investment from Frogmore Capital in the near future.
