Construction for the 183,000 sq ft facility is due to begin in September this year.
Stephen Harrison, chief scientific officer at Nucleome, said: “We chose Inventa because of its central location, and Mission Street’s reputation for designing buildings that thoroughly accommodate the needs of life science companies.”
Artem Korolev, founder and chief executive at Mission Street, said: “Following extensive collaboration between our teams in designing and delivering Nucleome’s facility, we are excited to welcome them to Inventa for the next chapter of their growth.
“We look forward to building a long-term partnership with them and delivering a world class urban innovation district across Inventa, Fabrica and the wider West End.”
Mission Street’s Botley Road scheme has become a catalyst for change in Oxford’s West End, with other developers stepping in to help transform the retail destination into an innovation cluster.
Most recently, Columbia Threadneedle Investments has revealed plans to transform New Barclay House, which sits next to the Botley Road Retail Park, into research and development space, offices and a café.
In addition, British Land has mooted the potential conversion of the former Wren Kitchens store on Botley Road Retail Park to a life sciences hub.
The West End has a long-term pipeline of more than 2m sq ft of commercial and academic buildings.
CBRE advised Nucleome; Bidwells advised Mission Street and BGO.
