Final resi phase at U+I’s Old Vinyl Factory gets thumbs up

U+I’s Old Vinyl Factory masterplan has received planning approval from Hillingdon Council for its final residential phase. The phase, to be known as One Vinyl Square, will deliver 134 new homes, 4,252 sq ft of commercial space, 238 cycle spaces and 67 car parking spaces. It is being developed by Joseph Homes. The new homes will be a mix of studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom maisonettes located to the west of the public space, known as Vinyl Square, at the former site of EMI’s global manufacturing headquarters. Designed by Studio Egret West, the masterplan for the Old Vinyl Factory spans 17 acres near Hayes town centre. The development will feature a cinema run by Really Local Group, to be known as The Gramophone, which will have a permanent EMI exhibition and a community space. It is set to open next year. All the homes to be built at the scheme are expected to be completed by 2023.
