Expo Real cancelled just days before launch

Germany’s Expo Real trade fair has been cancelled just days before it was due to begin due to the spread of the coronavirus.

The real estate event was due to start on 14 October, but late on Monday the organiser said that the “worsening Covid-19 situation in Munich” meant the event was being cancelled at short notice, with all fees refunded.

“Numerous participants had previously declared their intention to not participate,” said organiser Messe München. “Justifying their decision, they pointed out that Munich has been declared a risk area today and that the situation in Germany and other European countries has worsened dramatically in recent days and hours.”
