The average amount of equity that homeowners are releasing from their properties is falling, according to a leading provider.
Equity release enables homeowners to release the cash they have built from the rising value of their homes, but without having to sell the property.
The equity released by individual homeowners fell 4.1% between April and last month to an average £72,877, Responsible Equity Release said.
