Ellandi formally appointed as intu Merry Hill’s asset manager
Asset manager Ellandi has been appointed to handle intu Merry Hill’s operations, on behalf of the centre’s lenders.
The shopping centre operator has appointed Savills as managing agent, which will oversee the day-to-day running of the centre.
All existing centre staff will transfer their employment to Savills on the same employment terms, securing 200 jobs.

Suppliers to the West Midlands shopping centre will also transfer their contracts over from intu to Savills.
Ellandi has said that the centre will continue to receive investment and development. This includes ongoing remodelling for the exterior, due to complete by spring 2021.
The centre will be rebranded in 2021.
