Ealing Council has approved plans for two towers of up to 55 storeys for a residential and hotels development in North Acton.
Egypt’s Aldau Developments will build 702 flats and a 159-bedroom hotel on the site of the Holiday Inn at 4 Portal Way, W3.
The scheme will provide 35% affordable housing and a new bridge over the A40.
It will be Aldau Developments’ first scheme in the UK. The developer has 1,850 homes and 2,000 hotel bedrooms completed and in development.
Chief investment officer Taco van Heusden said: “This is a real opportunity to open up this part of Portal Way, which acts as the Southern Gateway to Old Oak Common, while realising the new opportunities presented by Crossrail and HS2 infrastructure improvements.”
Gerald Eve advised Aldau Developments on planning.
