Dutch aparthotel brand plans Manchester debut

Manchester-based developer Jadebricks has submitted plans for a 117-bedroom aparthotel in the Northern Quarter, which is slated to host Cycas Hospitality’s first Adagio Access hotel in the city.

Amsterdam-based operator Cycas is set to manage the site, which will be redeveloped into a nine-storey aparthotel. The plans include ground-floor guest lounge with a kitchen facility, luggage storage, a gym, staff changing facilities, a break room and offices. It will also offer two independent commercial spaces at ground level and 15 cycle spaces.

Under the plans, Jadebricks will partially demolish an existing warehouse building at 68-70 Oldham Street, as well as an adjacent NQ1 warehouse. It aims to retain the façade of the warehouse.
